課程概述 |
This advanced course introduces fundamental mechanics of sediment transport. After students have a basic understanding of sediment transport modeling, we will present several probability theories and models that can be used to describe the stochastic behavior of sediment particles under uncertainty.
In class, we will discuss 6-8 representative journal papers. Students are asked to present their report on selected journal papers in class

課程目標 |
The overall objective of this course is to familiarize students with basic concepts of stochastic modeling of sediment transport. Students are expected to gain a basic understanding of fundamental sediment transport in the aspect of bedload and suspended sediment transport, bedform mechanics, uncertainty analysis, and Markovian theory and applications. This course will provide students with fundamental knowledge and quantitative approaches necessary for studying the transport of sediment particles under uncertainty. |
